Middle School Curriculum
English - 6th, 7th and 8th grades - Vocabulary, spelling, grammar, reading, writing, listening, oral presentation, analysis of literature and nonfiction.
Math - 6th, 7th and 8th grades - Middle school math, algebra and geometry include the study of number sense, number operations, patterns, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.
Science - 6th, 7th and 8th grades -Life, physical and earth/space science, including an introduction to biology, chemistry, physics, geology, aerospace, scientific principles and investigations which promote inquiry and thinking skills.
Social Science - 6th and 7th grades - World History, from the ancient civilizations through the Middle Ages. 8th grade - United States History, the colonial period through post-Civil War.
Physical Education (P. E.) - 6th, 7th and 8th grades - Coed physical fitness activities may include flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, dance and aerobic movement. Students are required to wear a standard PE uniform.
